week ten batik



ive now waxed and kept the pink i want . i put some image-maker on the transfer to seal it. now i steep it in green dye.  unfortunately the transfer took the green, its ok on the watch but not on the lady.

i now  have pink bag with white saved under wax. from  a magazine i cut two pictures. put image-maker on them and left to dry. then i dampened and scraped off. i got a good result.

wax dried. i mixed some white acrylic with red dylon, clothes dye with warm water. i steeped bag for hour. the bag is now pink minus the parts under wax. next  i put wax on the parts i want pink.

i drew some shapes on an old cloth bag. on one or two of the shapes i spread some melted wax

these are oil on acetate then printed. i used a lid off a tin to paint them. tin peas.

i went to a basketball match in u.l. and drew the players with pencil, pastel and ink pen. im looking at movement for my project.

3d using sticks and wire. part 2

this is the bottom half. her legs are bent. loops are feet and the square at the top is her bottom. sticking out because she is bending.

im using garden wire and some light sticks to make a model of a dance movement i saw at drawing classes.  ive looped the wire to make the feet and joined the sticks where her knees would be.

i would use cling film the next time for a smoother finish. but the cast is fine. im happy with that.
after few minutes in the freezer the chocolate was set. it was a bit crinkly because of the greaseproof paper. the cast looked better and smoother.

because we wanted to eat the chocolate i placed some greaseproof paper onto the mould. then i filled it with the melted chocolate.  i also painted some cooking oil onto the paper. i then put all in freezer.

when the plaster hardens i take it off and allow to dry fully.

i wet and place these strips on models shoulder

i cut the plaster bandage into strips and i brush some oil on my models shoulder
i let it dry

i seperate the yarn and with water and washing up liquid i apply it to the orange

this is watercolour paper. the brickwork is oil. the window is watercolour with transfers from a newspaper to create reflections. the people are oil drawn on acetate and printed on .
